About Us

Set on a quiet, isolated beach in South Sulawesi, Pajoka Beach House offers a mix of rustic and spacious villa living combined with incredible natural scenery. Designed primarily for families and groups, this four bedroom traditional house has an exclusive foothold on Mandala Ria beach, 15 minutes from the well-explored town of Bira.

Pajoka offers a peaceful and natural place to relax, a way to experience the real country lifestyle of Indonesia, and access to incredible dive sites along the Bira peninsula. Nearby, one can find caves with ancient relics, lonely coral reefs, wooden boat builders, and villages that follow animist religions. Our expertise of South Sulawesi will allow you to explore things found in no guest books, and few local guides are even aware of.

The Pajoka Eco-villa has 4 large bedrooms with queen beds. Extra matrasses available upon requests. The main bedroom has an en-suite washroom, and a spacious bathroom and shower take up the lower floor for the rest of the guests. The kitchen comes fully outfitted for all cooking needs, and the top floor has a sizeable library with views to the forest and ocean. A huge deck runs the width of the house with an unbelievable view of the sea. For adventurous types, there is a tree house, which can also double as an extra room.

The villa was designed from the start as an environmentally friendly place to stay. It uses solar electricity, harvests rainwater, and has been made from local coconut and recycled roof tiles, as well as recycling our waste

Getting to PajokaBeach House takes about 5 hours from Makassar. The ride is scenic, and passes through a wide variety of Sulawesi countryside. Our House is accessible by car, or a public bus can be hired at Malengkeri terminal in Makassar. The city of Makassar is accessible internationally through their airport.

Snorkeling – Straight off the steps of PajokaBeach House are reefs to explore. The entire beach is lined with a fringing reef about 300 meters off the coast. Nearby, Liukangisland, Goat Island, and Bira all offer more beautiful snorkeling opportunities. For divers, we can happily arrange dive trips through our friends in Bira.
